Since 2001, the teatro meia volta e depois à esquerda quando eu disser has been promoting audience engagement projects, in partnership with important cultural institutions, such as São João National Theatre and the São Luiz Municipal Theatre.
Our main project is O Público vai ao Teatro, already counting three editions. This project is developed within the cultural institutions, summoning to these spaces target-segments of the population with the purpose of approximating them to their programming and listen to them regarding their expectations and tastes, so that it is reflected in the programming definition.
We have a team of professionals connected to the performative arts, to education and communication prepared to work together with cultural institutions in order to implement mediation and audience engagement projects.
. To analyse the relation between different population groups and the cultural offer;
. To develop interaction and mediation models between cultural agents: audiences, artists and programming teams;
. To engage and empower the citizens regarding the cultural programming institutions;
. To explore new audience participation, cultural access and interactions and social cohesion models;
. To reinforce the bond between audiences and cultural institutions, through the creation of ties and affective memories of the spaces.
