Graduated in Theatre by the Oporto’s School of Music and Performing Arts (Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espectáculo). He also frequented the Dartington College of Arts (UK), where he studied Devised Theatre and Performance.
In 2007, he participated in the 2nd edition of the theatre directing course of the Gulbenkian Creativity and Artistic Production Program, delivered by the Third Angel company, under the direction of Alexander Kelly. In 2008/2009, he makes a professional internship with the company Gob Squad, in Berlin.
In 2009, he was awarded the scholarship of the Inov-Art programme, to work with the Reality Research Center (FIN) company, with which he developed the project URBANIA. In 2010, he was selected for the 19th edition of La Nouvelle École des Maîtres – itinerant theatrical improvement international course, directed by Matthew Lenton.
He is co-founder and associated artist of the structure teatro meia volta e depois à esquerda quando eu disser, for which he directed the shows Project_Bathtub (Projecto_Banheira) (2006), The Name of the Streets (O Nome das Ruas) (2006), Closet Things (Coisas de Armário) (2008), URBANIA (2010), National-Material, Landscape with Argonauts (Nacional-Material, Paisagem com Argonautas) (2011), OZZZZZ (2013), Días Hábiles (2017) and Silent Disco (2019). He coordinates, since 2011, the audience engagement project O Público Vai ao Teatro.
He is a frequent collaborator of Má-Criação. Of the projects developed in this context he highlights 20’ (2008), Project 101 (Projecto 101)/Masako Point (2008), Learning to Swim (2010), L-O-V-E (2015), Invisible Cities (Cidades Invisíveis) (2016) and Tyrannosaurus Rex (Tiranossauro Rex) (2017).
He works regularly as a performer and/or co-creator with other artists, among whom he highlights Stefan Kaegi, Benedetto Sicca, Vera Mantero, Catarina Miranda and Alex Cassal.
